Statement

Neurotransition — Essays about Autism and Transsexuality. A long-form visual essay on neurodivergence, gender transition and the weight of feeling: bodies that translate the world through different protocols of perception.

The Weight of Feeling gathers photography, video and writing produced across years of self-observation, mapping alexithymia, autistic mutism and severely deficient autobiographical memory as material for image-making rather than as deficit.

Device

Medusa

Creation of the hybrid apparatus Medusa: a suspension structure of chains, swivel and rings conceived as a prosthetic extension of the neurodivergent body — a machine for redistributing weight, pressure and proprioception, where sensory regulation, restraint and release become the same gesture.

The apparatus operates between clinical instrument and ritual object, translating alexithymia and autistic mutism into a physical language of tension, hold and gravity.

Note — all images shown here document a prototype, still in development.
